Fantastic, informative day starting with the bus trip. Jim our bus driver was so informative, telling us about Hobart history while travelling to Port Arthur.
What an absolutely fantastic day out, our bus driver Jim was very informative telling us about the history of Hobart, while travelling to Port Arthur. When we arrived, we had the chance for a quick morning tea break and then we all gathered for our tour of Port Arthur. The tour guide was fantastic, and so knowledgeable. I really enjoyed looking in and around the Penal colony, so much history. The boat trip was very relaxing, after our long walk around Port Arthur. The most heartbreaking thing was visiting the site of the Port Arthur massacre.

Very enjoyable day, great driver, fantastic company, well worth the money
Driver picked us up on time, the rest of the group were very friendly. Tour experience was great. Tour guide at Port Arthur, was excellent, but felt the buggy could have been more scheduled around for the elderly that have mobility problems. All other stops were brilliant. I do not usually like booked tours but having said that now Mum and I are getting older it seems the best way to go. Will definitely book another tour whilst here.

We visited from Hobart as a day trip
We visited from Hobart as a day trip. The bus ride was an easy hour and a half from Hobart. We were assigned a guide who gave us some fabulous and funny insights into the daily life of the convicts and free settlers. The buildings and homes are well preserved and you can wander freely around the place. I really enjoyed wandering through the old homes which are decorated for the time. You can take a short boat ride past the Isle of the Dead where you can rest your legs and have a coffee or snack. The site is very clean and well maintained, easy to access toilets, a gift shop and café. I really enjoyed my day.
